Job Description:
The Mobile Application Developer will follow the direction of the Technical Lead/Architect. The ideal candidate will be highly proficient in Java/J2EE, self-directing, and capable of incorporating mobile technologies into the application platform. Candidates with enterprise Java systems and implementing solutions for an enterprise java portal are highly preferred. The ideal candidate will have robust leadership skills and be able to provide high quality user experience to web site customers. They will also perform complex analysis, design, development, testing, and debugging of computer software ranging from operating system architecture integration and software design to selection of computer systems, language, and/or equipment. Your activities will include designing, coding, and testing of systems using test driven development techniques.
Required Skills:
• Solve technical problems using industry best practices (i.e. design patterns)
• Coordinate with other developers to ensure top quality work is produced on time
• Work within agile teams to plan and perform software development activities
• BS in Computer Science or Equivalent
• RDBMS (DB2, Oracle)
• Java Frameworks (Spring MVC, Hibernate)
• Web Services (SOAP, REST)
Qualifications:
• BS in computer science or equivalent.
• 6+ years' experience of quality software development.
• Strong aptitude for learning new technologies, languages, and architectures
• Strong mobile programming and design skills.
• Experiencing consuming and designing RESTful APIs
• Must practice Test Driven Development
• Excellent problem solving, critical thinking and communication skills.
• In-depth experience at the application and user interface level with at least one mobile application development language (Objective-C/Cocoa, Java, HTML5, Titanium)
• Experience with cross-platform mobile development (Appcelerator/Titanium preferred)
• Experience with Asynchronous programming; experience with Networking protocols
• Experience with Mobile app build and delivery pipeline, up to and including app stores
• Experience with source code management tools (Git preferred)
• Proficiency in mobile application development tools and environments (Xcode, Eclipse)
• Experience with iOS and/or Android application architecture and design
• Extensive knowledge of iOS and/or Android development frameworks
• Ability and desire to learn new skills and take on new tasks.
• Examples of work, either on iOS or Android
